Hokay, so first thing:
I hate this
site. Blog. Whatever.
They're funny--I will freely admit that. But they. Are. Bitches. And I mean that in the worst way possible. At first I was amused; then I was bewildered; finally I reached disgusted and backed away slowly. In fact, I just cut out the "Back" button all together and closed the tab.
Perusing sites like this never seems to work out well for me. I always get pissed, or spoiled, or something
In this case, it was the first. I got soooo
pissed at the way they dissed Bradford Anderson, or rather Spinelli, from General Hospital. So he's not traditional soap stud sexy. So friggin what? He's funny and charming and adorable
, and I'd rather have a minute's worth of clothed screen time from him than an hour's worth of nekkidness from any beefy hunk. I am so
not even joking, either. And I really, really
resent that, based on this unforgivably superficial reason,(together with the way he talks) the two women have decided that Spinelli is not good enough for Maxie Jones, who is a slut and a conniver and a manipulater and totally doesn't deserve to lick sweet, kind Spinelli's sneakers, dammit
!!!!! Also, have these two girls actually seen his body, like, at all? They must have missed that episode while they were bitching about everything under the cosmos
. And no, he doesn't have rock solid abs or bulging pectorals, but he's fairly slender with some nicely defined shoulders, if I do say so myself. I present to you Exhibit A:
This kid is fucking gorgeous
. Why, he sets my slash senses a'tingling, he's so cute.
I've loved Spinelli from the first moment I saw him on screen, which was, regrettably, rather a long time after he first appeared. It was serendipity that this first witnessed scene occurred with Diane Miller, (because the two play so well
off of one another) and I was instantly smitten. Sure, I thought he was a bit goofy looking at first, but only
at first, and by now I'd be hardpressed to think of another soap star who I find as lovely as him. His personality, his boyish looks, and this undefinable something
about him just makes me sigh (and want to write fic really really
So, I can be grateful that I'm not one of those girls who's more concerned with what the characters are wearing than with what their character is as a person. I can feel relief that I'm not fretting over some distant past, and moaning and groaning because the older actors are disappearing. I can understand and appreciate the need for fresh faces, while also understanding and appreciating that the pattern of soap plots will never and probably should never change (Except that I urge ALL soaps to take a page from ATWT's book and bring in SUM GEIS...er, some gays. And
give them love interests and great romances. Many many chicks love that kind of shit AND I AM VEHEMENTLY ONE OF THEM.)
I could be or feel or do any of those things. Instead I will say "UP YOURS,TWATS"
and take much satisfaction in my own unique brand of bitchiness.
