Hai, hai, I know. I jump around more than a kangaroo on a crack. Two months ago I was on a Draco/Harry kick. That particular pairing actually kept my interest for a long time, for me at least, about a month, maybe a little over that. Then about a month ago I moved on to Sirius/Remus. That fizzled out quickly, cuz one really really REALLY good fic pretty much ruined me for all other. I couldn't find one to top it. Also I wanted Marauders/First War Era fics with Sirius in the dominant roll. Those, folks, are surprisingly hard to come by. People seem to want to make Remus the more dominant, and that, to me, seems wrong. Hell all the Japanese artists draw him as a typical uke (big eyes, thin, really cute), but all the english fanfiction writers wanna make him a SEME \=P. I blame it on the movie. And on another note, I didn't like the casting very much for PoA. Neither Sirius or Remus matched the pictures I had in my head of them. I pictured Sirius as kinda resembling Viggo Mortensen, and Remus as... I dunno, but not the guy that portayed him. Not that they weren't good actors, they just weren't the guys I wanted to play their characters. I'm all about the pretty, and they didn't appeal to my sense astheticism. Yeah, I'm shallow when it comes to that kind of stuff. I'm quite perverted, but I only like to picture pretty guys having sex. And believe me, I have had many MANY fantasies about Sirius and Remus. My versions of them, anyway. Okay, that was WAY off topic, but oh well, it's my journal, ne? Deal
Okay, so where was I? Oh yes, after about a week and a half on the Sirius/Remus thing, I moved on to lots of /Harry pairings. I ran the gamut of Snape/Harry, Either twin(and sometimes both)/Harry, a couple Blaise/Harry, and one very memorable, very brain bleaching Dumbledore/Harry that I was unwilling and unable to finish. It was recced to me by a friend as a gag. She now no longer exists on the physical plane. j/k j/k...but seriously... nah, I'm just pulling your chain... really....*shifty eyes* That particular Harry-is-a-slut-and-sleeps-with-anyone-I-want-him-to phase lasted for about two weeks, I think, maybe a day or two longer. Then the interest cooled off completely, and I abandoned the entire Harry Potter fandom. I do that once I get bored with something. Discard it like a five dollar whore, I mean. Then in a few months my interest'll kick-start again and I'll be just as intense about it, only with less jumping around pairings, and for a lot less time. The amount of time I spend on a fandom the second time around is usually cut in about half. See, don't say I don't know myself well.
Then I about a week ago I got a hankering to read one of my sasunaru fics, which was the fandom I was into around last October for a little while. So anyway, I was recced to the livejournal community sasuxnaru, where I did find the story I was looking for by the way. Then I got back into sasunaru which is still going on, but is tapering quickly.
Thusly this brings me to my point: After this I want something different and fresh, but still Naruto. I want what drew me into Naruto yaoi in the first place... I wanted Naruto and Shikamaru. Together. BUT I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING!!!!!! I couldn't find anything back then (roughly late September), so I lost interest quickly and decided to wait a few months (which turned out to be more than half a year), and there's nothing now either. It simply isn't a popular pairing (unDeRStaTEmeNt >o<)
So, if anyone is reading this, (and I hope to heaven it's no one from my school...cuz I'd surely be lynched if anyone from THERE found out about my penchant (unDeRStaTEmeNt >o<) for all things pretty and gay.) do you know of anywhere that has ShikaNaru fanfics? Or could you rec me some ShikaNaru fanfics? Any rating, but I am especially partial to "ZOMG! HAWT BISHIE SMEX!!!" (lol, sorry, it's an inside joke) Or pRon for those savvy to fangirl speak. Thanks!!!!!!!
And if I can't find any, I'll finish writing the ones I started last year, then pretend they're someone elses and giggle at them.
